Help - My Rejuvenated floor has streaks!
Streaks, splotches, and discolored areas are all related issues...
The most common cause for streaking, splotchy areas, or patches of discolored surface in a recently Rejuvenated floor is residue from a previous product, wax or oil that is interfering with the Rejuvenate. The best way to avoid this issue is to follow the clean and prep guidelines before applying Rejuvenate.
Another major cause for a streaked finish is the improper application of Rejuvenate. Overworking the same area while Rejuvenate is wet, applying in a circular, side to side motion, heavily overlapping strokes or mopping against the grain can all cause streaking. For a streak free finish be sure to follow the Restorer Application Guidelines.
Be sure that your microfiber bonnet is clean and doesn't have dirt or other material stuck in the fibers. This is another common causefor streaking.
Light streaking can sometimes be fixed by applying an additional coat to the surface. If additional coats do not start to minimize or remove streaking then removing the Rejuvenate and re-applying may be necessary.
To remedy stuborn streaking, Rejuvenate Restorer must be removed and re-applied. If there is any residual product, wax or oil under the Rejuvenate, the offending residue must be cleaned off as well. (Please refer to that brand's removal instructions.) Once the residue is removed, Rejuvenate can bond properly to the surface and you will get a proper finish. Follow this guide to remove Rejuvenate Restorer.
