The most common cause for hazing, splotchy areas, or patches of discolored surface in a recently Refreshed floor is residue from a previous product, wax or oil that is interfering with Rejuvenate. The best way to avoid this issue is to follow the clean and prep guidelines before applying Rejuvenate.

To remedy a hazy surface, the Rejuvenate Refresher must be removed, the residual product, wax or oil under the Rejuvenate must be cleaned off and the Refresher re-applied. (If you have another product on the surface please refer to that brands removal instructions. ) Once the residue is removed, Rejuvenate can bond properly to the surface and you will get a proper finish. Follow this guide to remove Rejuvenate Refresher.

Note: Refresher wears off in 2 to 3 weeks, so you may simply wait for it to naturally wear down if you don't wish to clean it off.

Items needed to remove Rejuvenate Refresher:

Bottle of AMMONIA FREE glass cleaner like Windex Crystal Rain

Nylon sponge, mesh scrubber or non-abrasive/light weight scour pad

Clean microfiber mop bonnet & a sponge mop

Directions for removal:

Spray an even coat of ammonia free glass cleaner onto a 4 foot by 4 foot area of the surface where Rejuvenate is to be removed.

Allow the cleaner to settle and react with Rejuvenate for no more than 5 minutes. DO NOT apply so much of the ammonia free glass cleaner that it forms puddles if you are working with wood surfaces. Excessive liquids of any kind can warp and/or damage wood surface.

After 5 minutes, you will begin to see a slightly milky color develop. This is expected and means the Crystal Rain is reacting with the Rejuvenate. If you rub the surface with your finger you should feel the Rejuvenate pilling up and lifting from the surface. You can slowly agitate the surface with your fingers or the scrubber to try and speed up the process. You can add more Crystal Rain to the surface sparingly while you are agitating the surface.

If possible, attach the scrubber to the head of the mop to facilitate cleaning. Some mops have clips to hold the scrubber in place and some pads can be slipped over the entire mop head.

Dampen the scrubber and scrub the previously prepared 4 foot by 4 foot area. You can apply ample pressure as though you were cleaning dried liquid, however do not apply so much pressure that you scratch the surface. The amount of cleaner and pressure needed can vary depending on amount of coats and/or how long the surface has been Rejuvenated.

Once the entire 4 foot by 4 foot area has been scrubbed, dry mop the area using a clean, dry Microfiber Bonnet or towel to remove any residue from the Rejuvenate and/or Remover.

Repeat steps until your entire surface has been completed.

Once finished, clean the floor using the Rejuvenate Floor Cleaner according to the directions on the bottle.

Remove any product that is under the Rejuvenate by following that brand's removal instructions.

Allow the floor to dry completely before re-applying Rejuvenate Floor Refresher.

Do's & Don'ts

DO clean one small area at a time

DO allow ammonia free glass cleaner to react with the Rejuvenate before scrubbing

DO repeat steps as needed

DO remove any other products before re-applying Refresher

DO NOT apply excessive amounts of ammonia free cleaner to wood surfaces
DO NOT apply excessive force when scrubbing wood surfaces
DO NOT use a glass cleaner with ammonia in it

IMPORTANT: REMOVE ALL NON-REJUVENATE BRAND FLOOR PRODCUTS, OIL, WAX AND RESIDUE before you apply Rejuvenate Refresher. If your surfaces aren't residue free, Rejuvenate Refresher cannot bond correctly.
